This dial had considerable paint loss and extensive
chipping. The small Arabic numerals were virtually all missing. My
pencil sketches of them are visible in this photo taken before cleaning
of the surface was done.
These photos are approximately the actual size of the original signature artwork, after conservation and dial restoration. Some of the restored lines are only slightly thicker than a human hair.
